Bagel Etc.

Bagel Etc my ALL TIME FAVORITE PLACE FOR BREAKFAST!

If you know me you know that I like good food and a cozy atmosphere...and I would settle for that!

But this place has more I've been going for about 14 years and the coffee is always good the decor is charming and the food is hot and delicious every time. It's worth making it your favorite breakfast place.

Unusual Kitchen Islands

You don't have to have a kitchen Island built in.

Be creative

Up cycle

Even an airline cart can be turned into a kitchen island if you have very little space.

I love this old butcher's block a kitchen island.

Art Art I want you...Mariel Clayton

This is edgy! Very Edgy ART! I can't even show most of the pictures of Mariel Clayton's photography on my blog but it is a must see social commentary using Barbies!

I chose some of the least provocative installments because I had to give you a taste of it so you can go and see for yourself. It is so beautifully done, nothing is missed, every photograph tells a clear story. Gorgeous I love it!

Vanities and Consoles

I love vanities they are a private place.

They are so feminine and glamorous.

You know how I love ruffles.

I love that bench!

The vanity is a place for contemplation,

and a place for creativity...

and self exploration.

I love consoles too they are a public places...

for self expression...

and practical too!

They can be anything you want them to be...

like a bar...

or a place to add a lot of chutzpa!

and store anything you want them to.

Art art I want you...The Civil Wars

Usually on Wednesday "Art day for me" I post some visual art but TODAY I am posting my latest "song crush".

Michael Quinn was featured on Design Sponge and I just fell in love with his quirky designs. My family knows to give me all of their castoffs and I really resonated with his comment on Design Sponge: "...I started off with a lot of my family's castoffs, but that tendency to shelter has come to include a huge variety of things, animals, even people.  Many people have called this place home over the years, if only for a short while, and I think the place absorbs and reflects those energies.  By and large this apartment has become something of a refugee camp for Things That No One Else Wants. I am one of those people who thinks if you love something, you can find a way to incorporate it into the mix; if something speaks to me, there is always room in my inn."

Have a look at how he makes that work and for more go to links under pictures. I couldn't have this much stuff myself because I dust way too often but I still love it!

Parisian Rental

This Parisian Rental is a perfect example of how to fit everything you love in an orderly way and the choice of neutrals keeps it feeling uncluttered.

It's not my ideal because I like more space and I'm like a bull in a China Shop so I would probably knock things over and that would make me feel very claustrophobic but it doesn't make it any less beautiful.
